Lehigh suffers first defeat of season

Philadelphia, PA – Lehigh suffered it first defeat of the season on Sunday afternoon against Princeton (1-1) 1-0, in the Penn Soccer Classic. The Tigers goal ended a scoreless streak of more than 400:00 minutes that the Mountain Hawks had going through the first four games of the season. Junior Sam Bishop picked up one save in goal for Lehigh on the afternoon.
Princeton’s goal was scored by Darren Spicer at the 23:38 clip of the contest and came off of a Ryan Rich assist. The score came on Princeton’s only shot on goal for the entire contest. The Mountain Hawks (3-1-1) had eight shots on goal.
Lehigh returns to action on Wednesday when the Mountain Hawks travel south to take on Delaware. Game time is set for 7:00 and can be heard live on Lehigh’s website.
