Boston University downs Army in Lehigh soccer tournament

Bethlehem, PA – The Boston University Terriers (1-0) defeated the Army Black Knights (0-1) by a score of 1-0 in a defensive showdown in the first round of the Lehigh-Army Soccer Classic at Lehigh’s Ronald J. Ulrich Field Friday night. BU sophomore Andrew Dorman put home a rebound off a missed penalty kick in the 15th minute for his first goal of the season, and what turned out to be the only score of the night. The Terriers received strong play from their net-minder, Matthew Smith, who made seven saves on the night. Army goalie Kevin Larrabee made five stops in a losing effort.
These two teams will both enjoy an off-day Saturday, before resuming action on Sunday afternoon. In Friday’s nightcap, Lehigh takes on Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, Buffalo battles Army at noon, and Lehigh takes on Boston University at 2:30 p.m.
