Senior captain Adam Gazda returned to the Mountain Hawks lineup in style, scoring two goals after missing all of the 2007 campaign. Jim Taranto, Neal Melchionni, Jesse Schram and Joe Puleo also scored for Lehigh in the win.
The Seawolves opened their season by traveling to Hofstra on Friday, where they battled the Pride to a 2-2 draw. Tom Butler and Mladen Ramic each scored a goal for Stony Brook. The Seawolves finished the 2007 campaign with a 9-7-3 mark and a 3-4-1 record in the America East Conference.
