Collina and Matteo named to National Honor Roll

In the second game of the series on Sunday, Matteo tossed a complete-game shutout as Lehigh captured the league title with a five-nothing win. Matteo struck out seven and did not walk a batter over nine innings, as the Mountain Hawks claimed their first Patriot League title.
Following the sweep, Collina and Matteo earned co-tournament most valuable player honors.
Collina and Matteo join junior catcher Matt McBride on the CBF Honor Roll this year. McBride, the Patriot League Player of the Year, was named to the national list in April following a 10-for-20 week in which he helped lead Lehigh to a four-game sweep at Navy that propelled the Mountain Hawks into first place in the Patriot League standings – a spot the Brown and White did not relinquish for the remainder of the season.
Lehigh (27-25 overall) will make its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament beginning June 2 at a site and against an opponent to be determined.
