BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s soccer team will look to get back in the win column when they host Navy at 7 p.m. on Saturday night at the Ulrich Sports Complex. This will be the Mountain Hawks’ third Patriot League match and they currently hold a 5-4-2 overall record and a 1-1-0 league record.
After falling to their archrival Lafayette last Saturday night in overtime 1-0, the Mountain Hawks dropped a non-conference game with Penn 2-0 on Tuesday night.
The Mountain Hawks offense is led by stand-out freshman Austin Decker who leads the team with four goals and eight points. Senior Adam Welch has led the Lehigh backline contributing two goals and he is tied with Decker for the team lead in points (8).
The Midshipmen will come to Bethlehem with a 6-5 overall record and they are tied with the Brown and White in the Patriot League standings with a 1-1-0 record. Navy is led by Mark Garcia, Wes Powell, and Michael Rakoczy who are tied for the team lead in points with seven.
Lehigh has dominated the series recently winning 12 of the last 13 games, including a 3-0 win over the Midshipmen last season. Even though the Mountain Hawks have had a run of recent success, Navy holds the all-time series lead 29-15-5.
