PL names McNeil Defensive Player of the Week

While McNeil is a defensive player, he wound up on the offensive end in some big situations for the Mountain Hawks on Saturday. McNeil moved into the box for a corner kick attempt by Adam Gazda, and when the Knights failed to clear the ball, he was there to clean it up for the goal.
With Lehigh trailing by two goals and less than four minutes to play, McNeil was one of many Mountain Hawks pushing forward to generate quick offense. When a long throw-in attempt was boxed around near the FDU goal, McNeil was once again in the right place at the right time, and he gave the Mountain Hawks a chance with his second goal.
McNeil has started all seven games for the Mountain Hawks in 2008. He has been an integral member of a defense that has allowed 1.52 goals per game this season.
