Lehigh defeats Lafayette to retain River Cup

In the men’s freshman/novice eight race, Lehigh A crossed in a time of 5:44.59 to defeat Lehigh B (5:58.65), Lafayette (6:06.09) and Penn State (6:49.65), while in the men’s lightweight four, the Mountain Hawks earned a first place finish with a time of 6:21.65 to defeat Lafayette and Penn State. The women’s freshman/novice eight won its race with a time of 6:32.81 to defeat Lafayette A (6:43.00), Lafayette B (7:09.42) and Penn State (8:32.57), while the women’s lightweight eight cruised past Penn State, crossing in a time of 6:33.16, well in front of the Nittany Lions (6:49.35).
