Lehigh suffers 5-4 setback at Florida Tech

Playing outdoors for the first time this season, Lehigh lost a critical point at second doubles, where Andrea Madrigal and Nicole David bested the sophomore tandem of Julie Arthofer and Stacey Reich. The Panthers picked up an additional point with an 8-2 win at first doubles, while senior Alexis Jacobi and junior Ariela Cohen salvaged a doubles point for the visitors with an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action, Lehigh needed four wins to take the match, but could only muster three, at the bottom three flights. Junior Victoria Vityuk and Reich earned straight set wins at fifth and sixth singles respectively, while Cohen returned to singles action with a win in a third set tiebreak to defeat Nicole David at No. 4 singles.
The Mountain Hawks will be back on the courts on Tuesday when they face
