The playoff picture in men’s soccer has never been murkier. The Mountain Hawks could finish as high as the top seed and host the Patriot League tournament, or they could finish as low as sixth and wind up watching the postseason from home.
That makes Saturday’s 7 p.m. game that much more important for the Brown and White. Lehigh sits in a tie with archrival
“I don’t know exactly what the logistics are of it. But I know if we get these two wins then we can’t ask any more questions. If we get these two wins we should have nothing to worry about.”
Cucci said a lot of things will be going through his mind before he steps on the field, but mostly he will be thinking of how quickly his time at Lehigh went by.

This is the 52nd meeting between Lehigh and Bucknell in history. The all-time series has been tightly contested, with the Brown and White coming into the match with a narrow 22-21-8 lead.

Lehigh has averaged 1.6 goals per game, putting it just barely behind Bucknell (1.62) for the league lead. That will put the pressure on both defenses to step up on Saturday to shut down the opposing attacks.
“We just have to do what we’ve talked about all season,” Cucci said. “We have to be committed in the defensive third and we have to get after the ball and put our bodies out there on the offensive side.”
