In the classroom Clemente has maintained a 3.82 GPA over the course of his college career. The finance major was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2005 and 2006, the Dean’s List four times and achieved a 4.0 term in fall 2004.
Co-captain Mike Hessemer has started all 33 games over the past two seasons on the Lehigh defense. This season he has assisted on the game winning goal against Rutgers and on the lone Lehigh goal against nationally ranked
Off the field Hessemer is an active member of the Lehigh community, participating in the Student-Athlete Council, the Student-Athlete Mentors program and the C.O.A.C.H. program. He maintains a 3.41 GPA in Mechanical Engineering and is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
To be nominated to the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for his career.
