Williamson and Leonard garner All-Region status

Williamson came on strong this season using his speed and elusiveness to earn the First-Team nod. The junior from Leonard returned from a foot injury this season after being sidelined for most of the past two years and the Mountain Hawks reaped the benefits on the defensive side of things with his toughness. Leonard started 19 games for the Mountain Hawks in 2004, helping to anchor a defense that led the Patriot League in goals allowed (12), goals allowed per game (0.55) and shutouts (11). The 0.55 GAA also ranks fifth in Head Coach Dean Koski is pleased to see these two young men receive recognition, as well as the entire Lehigh soccer program. “This is a great tribute and honor for Adam and Elliot and based on their performance for us this season, I am not surprised by the selection.” Koski continues, “This is the first time in two years that Elliot was back on the field playing, and so to receive this honor is exceptional and for Adam to be a First-Team choice is just wonderful.” Koski concludes, “I couldn’t be happier for these two young men or for our program.”
