In 2010-11: Capped off 34-1 season by winning NCAA heavyweight title, becoming Lehigh’s 27th individual national champion… ranked No. 1 in the nation all season long and earned No. 1 seed at NCAA Championships… defeated Ryan Flores of American 2-1 in NCAA championship match… won three out of four matches with Flores during the season with the lone loss coming in overtime in the EIWA finals… won his first 29 bouts of the season… captured heavyweight championship at the Midlands, becoming just Lehigh’s third undergraduate Midlands champion and first since 2004… became Lehigh’s first heavyweight NCAA Champion since 1936… finished season with seven falls and 13 bonus wins… clinched win over No. 1 Cornell with 8-0 major decision over Oney Snyder… owned ten victories over wrestlers ranked in the top seven.
 
In 2009-10: Became Lehigh’s first wrestling All-America since 2006 with third place finish at NCAA Championships… was first Mountain Hawk to reach the National Semifinals in four years… defeated the defending NCAA Champion and runner-up to claim third place at NCAAs… won EIWA Championship, downing rival D.J. Russo of Rutgers for third time in season… placed fifth at the Midlands Championships in late December… won his first 16 bouts to start the season… went 5-0 to capture heavyweight title at Nittany Lion Open… 33 victories were most by a Mountain Hawk in a single season since Brad Dillon won 33 in 2004… won University World Team Trials in freestyle in late May.
 
In 2008-09: Reached the All-American Round of 12 at the NCAA Championships, before losing to Pitt’s Zach Sheafer in the tiebreakers… was first Lehigh wrestler to reach the quarterfinals at the NCAA Championships since 2006… reached EIWA finals, losing in sudden victory… finished season with five falls, including two pins of Penn’s Trey McLean… pinned McLean at 9:32 mark in EIWA semifinals… won University National Freestyle championship in April.
 
In 2007-08: Deferred eligibility… went 5-2 to claim third place at Edinboro Open in lone open tournament appearance… qualified for U.S. Olympic Team Trials after winning Northeast Senior Freestyle tournament in Brockport, N.Y. in April… went 0-2 at Olympic Trials… ranked in the top ten nationally in freestyle in the heavyweight class.
 
In secondary school: Won state championship at heavyweight in each of his final two seasons… went undefeated as a senior… did not begin wrestling until the ninth grade but still became three-time state place-winner… ranked second at heavyweight and 48th overall by InterMat… was also a first team All-State lineman on the football field… three-time Academic All-League selection in both football and wrestling.
