Prior to joining Lehigh, Lahr served as an assistant cross country and track & field coach at Seattle Pacific University, where he specialized in the middle distance events. During his time with the Falcons, he helped the women’s cross country team to a second-place finish at the GNAC Championships and coached Maya Ewing to a qualifying spot at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships.
While in Seattle, Lahr also volunteered with the Brooks Beasts Track Club, a professional running team, where he worked with and paced elite athletes during workouts.
Lahr previously served as the head track & field coach at Northwest High School in Seattle, where he led multiple athletes to state championship qualification during his first season.
Originally from Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Lahr competed collegiately in cross country and track & field at Rider University. During his career, he helped set a school record in the distance medley relay and ranks among Rider’s all-time top 10 performers in both the mile and 1,500 meters while achieving Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll across all 4 years.Â
Lahr went on to Colorado State University to get his master’s degree in Sports Management.
