Mackenzie Anton ’21 begins her first season as graduate assistant coach in 2021 after a strong four-year career in the Brown and White. One of the highlights came in 2018, when she started in 17 contests as the Mountain Hawks advanced to the Patriot League Championship Game.
Anton played in 51 games in her collegiate career, starting 35 – primarily at defense – for a Lehigh women’s soccer team that consistently finished near the top of the Patriot League in goals against average. In 2017, Anton and the Mountain Hawks allowed just 12 goals in 18 games (0.67 GAA led the league). In 2018, Lehigh posted a 1.25 GAA, then a 0.82 GAA in 2019 (which was tied for second in the Patriot League). Then this past spring, during Anton’s senior season, the Mountain Hawks allowed just 0.67 goals per contest.
Anton made a difference as a Student-Athlete Mentor, advising and supporting a group of first-year student-athletes. This past spring, Anton was part of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, collaborating with staff and analyzing data to create a plan for a more diverse and inclusive environment.
Anton graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and has significant experience in the health care field. Amongst her experiences was time at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem as a Hospital Rotational Volunteer then later Physician Assistant Observer.
A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, Anton is enrolled in the Technical Entrepreneurship and Interdepartmental Engineering graduate program.
