WHY LEHIGH? “It was a great academic and athletic fit. I also clicked with the coaches and the members of the team.”
ON BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LEHIGH: “It means that I’m part of a selective group of athletes who compete both on the field and the classroom.”
AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Played in seven games as a freshman, starting one … Finished with a groundball and caused turnover, both against Saint Joseph’s (3/2) … That also marked her first (and only) start of the season … Made collegiate debut in home opener vs. Delaware (2/26) … Also saw action against Siena (3/9), Colgate (3/12), Bucknell (3/19) and at Temple (3/24) and Lafayette (3/27).
BEFORE LEHIGH: Member of the 2008 and 2009 New York State Champion lacrosse team for Garden City High School … Was selected to the All-Galaxy Second Team as a junior … Also a member of National Team New York Metro Team One … Selected by U.S. Lacrosse to play in the 2010 Champion High School Showcase televised by ESPN … Her high school team was ranked second in the national LaxPower poll and went undefeated in 2010 … Also a standout field hockey player … Part of the field hockey state champion team junior year … Named the team’s unsung hero as a senior … Long Island Champion … Member of the Long Island Yellow Jackets.
PERSONAL: Daughter of John and Bonnie Sullivan … Sister of Meg and Paul … Meg played lacrosse at Brown University and was also captain in 2006 … Paul played lacrosse at Navy and graduated in 2010.
