Kim Kolarik enters her first season on the Lehigh coaching staff following a standout playing career for the Virginia Cavaliers.
 
"Kim has an outstanding reputation in the lacrosse world as well," said Lehigh head coach Jill Redfern. "Her character and values are an excellent match with those of the young women in our program."
 
Despite just graduating this past May, Kolarik does own extensive coaching experience. The past two years, she's served as co-head coach for Chesapeake Club Lacrosse based out of Annapolis, Md. She was primarily responsible for the instruction of the goalies. A year prior, she was a goalie coach for the Charlottesville Lacrosse Club in Virginia.
 
Kolarik played four seasons at the University of Virginia, where she earned her degree in History in 2013. While there, she help lead the Cavaliers to a top 10 ranking and four ACC and NCAA Tournament appearances. She was nominated for the Tewaaraton Award last season, was a three-time ACC Defensive Player of the Week in 2012, a VaSID All-State Second Team Performer and played in the IWLCA/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game. Kolarik also received the Betty and Money Yates Award, which is given to the player demonstrating dedication, support and leadership.
 
Before Virginia, Kolarik was an Under Armour All-American and one of Sports Illustrated's Top 100 girls lacrosse players at South River High School.
