           Jill Redfern begins her second consecutive season as an assistant lacrosse coach in the Lehigh lacrosse program.  Before joining the Lehigh staff in 2003, Redfern was the head lacrosse coach at Lafayette College.  She was named Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2000.  She served as an assistant in both the women’s field hockey and lacrosse programs at Lafayette for 10 years before assuming the head coaching position.

Jill is a 1988 graduate of Ursinus College.  She went on to earn her masters degree in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University in 1991.

Redfern brings a great deal of collegiate and international playing experience to Lehigh.  She was the MVP of the NCAA Tournament while at Ursinus, and was also a two-time Division III All-American.  While at Ursinus, Redfern captured a national title in 1986.  Redfern was also a member of the US National Team from 1987-1993.  She capped off her international playing career as a member of the winning United States World Cup team in 1993 in Edinboro, Scotland.

Redfern currently resides in Lopatcong, NJ, with her husband Thomas, and two children, Nicholas, 6 and Cecily, 4.
