Dan Gusovsky enters 2020 in his second season on the Lehigh Baseball coaching staff, specializing in pitching for the program.
Gusovsky helped coach and mentor two 2019 Major League Baseball draft picks in Levi Stoudt (3rd Round) and Jason Reynolds (32nd Round).
He came to Lehigh from Swarthmore, where he helped lead the Garnet to their first Centennial Conference title and first Division III World Series appearance.

Prior to his two seasons at Swarthmore, Gusovsky served one year as an assistant coach at William & Mary during the 2015-16, where W&M won the first CAA Championship.

In 2014, he spent the year coaching at his alma mater Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. He helped the team to a 25-win season, including a 16th straight New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season title. As hitting coach, he assisted the Lyons finish with a .306 batting average with 80 doubles, 14 triples, 15 home runs, and 248 RBI. Five of his players earned all-region honors at the end of the campaign.

The Andover, Mass. native graduated from Wheaton in 2013, Gusovsky earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in economics. With 143 appearances for the Lyons, 133 of which at catcher during his four-year career, Gusovsky hit .306 (152-497), scored 68 runs, with 38 double, three triples and three home runs. He drove in 92 RBI, had a .412 slugging percentage and a .988 fielding percentage. Gusovsky is a two-time All-Region (NEIBA & D3baseball.com) selection and a NEWMAC All-Conference honoree.

During Gusovsky’s playing career at Wheaton, the Lyons captured four NEWMAC regular season and tournament titles, including four NCAA Tournament appearances with a runner-up finish in 2012.
