Tennis Policies & Guidelines

- Locker rooms are closed to members, guests and volunteers.
- Use of this facility is restricted to the Lehigh University Faculty/Staff and Students. All facility users under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an authorized user 18 years of age or older.
- The following groups have priority for use of all Lewis Tennis Center areas:
- Scheduled intercollegiate activities and practices
- Scheduled events – clinics, camps, meetings, etc.
- Courts may be reserved no further than 48 hours in advance
- Only non-marking tennis sneakers must be worn. No running shoes, strictly tennis shoes!
- Carry in tennis shoes to avoid mud or dirt damaging the indoor courts
- Members are allowed to bring guests at a fee of $15.00. CASHLESS PAYMENTS ONLY
- Steel Club members must sign-in and provide Steel Club membership number. Guests need to pay the $15.00 guest fee.
- Unauthorized tennis players using the facility will be treated as trespassers by the facility management and campus police. Access to or usage of any area of the tennis facility is limited to normal hours of operation. Special events, inclement weather, or the academic calendar may impact hours of operation. Unauthorized access is strictly prohibited. For enforcement purposes, violators of this guideline will be subject to the University's trespass policy.
- Unauthorized personal instruction is prohibited in any area of the tennis facility.
- Proper attire and footwear is required (i.e. shirt, shoes and footwear must be worn at all times) when engaged in an activity.
- The Lewis Tennis Center staff has the authority to terminate any activity and remove individuals or teams from the facility that violate building or program policies.
- Facility management may restructure activities and schedule as necessary.
- Alcohol, drugs and banned substances are not permitted.
- No bicycles, mopeds, roller skates/blades, skateboards, or animals with the exception of service animals for persons with disabilities will be allowed within the facility.
- Food, tobacco, chewing gum, glass bottles, and cans are not permitted on the tennis courts
- No announcements, fliers, posters, etc. may be affixed to building walls. Any item to be posted must be approved by the Tennis Center Supervisor.
