Internship Opportunities

Overview

The Lehigh Athletics Department has a long and successful history of providing meaningful internship experiences that are required as part of academic programs in sports management, educational administration, journalism, marketing, and media/public relations. Students from Lehigh, DeSales, East Stroudsburg, and Temple (among others) have gained valuable experience, resume value, professional references, as well as academic credit for their work within the Lehigh Athletics Department.

Because Lehigh values the internship experience enough to provide to interns a significant level of responsibility, and because a number of our interns have enjoyed such positive experiences that they subsequently embarked upon careers in coaching or athletics administration, the selection process for interns has been quite competitive.

Candidates should expect to prepare a thorough resume and or introductory letter including self-assessed strengths, interests, and ambitions, and a list of current references should be included, as well as the internship coordinator from the home institution. Most internships also will require an interview prior to selection.
