WHY LEHIGH? “Educationally, the engineering program at Lehigh is exactly what I was looking for. And of course, the great lacrosse program. After meeting coaches Jill and Kelley and a few of the players, I knew that they were serious about lacrosse and that I would have the opportunity to continue developing into a stronger player.”
ON BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LEHIGH: “It’s a great opportunity to earn an education from a respected college and play Division I lacrosse at the same time. It will be challenging, but the benefits I’ll gain will be worth it.”
AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Played in 11 games off the bench while posting one point, seven groundballs and a draw control … Also took five shots, two on goal … Tied a career-high three groundballs at #15 Penn State (4/12) … Fired a career-high two shots against Saint Joseph’s (3/2) … Had a shot and groundball in the home opener against Delaware (2/26) … Dished an assist and added three groundballs in collegiate debut at defending NCAA Tournament qualifier Marist (2/19).
BEFORE LEHIGH: Team co-captain as a senior at Hereford High School to lead squad to the Baltimore County Championship … Led the team in a number of categories, including caused turnovers (30) and ground balls (32) … Earned the ’10 graduating class award for athletic achievement … The 2009 squad won the Baltimore County Championship and advanced to the Regional Finals … Also a standout on the field hockey team, winning the state championship as a senior where she scored the only goal in the title game … A year prior, was the leading scorer, county champions and All-County Second Team honoree … Three-year standout out the basketball team while also running cross country … A member of the National Honor Society … Honorable Mention Maryland Distinguished Scholar.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Deborah Wilkinson and Ken Cummins … Sister of Adrian and Travis.
