WHY LEHIGH? “Lehigh was the perfect choice for me. The school has a great academic reputation, the lacrosse team is very strong and competitive, the coaching staff is impressive and the school is relatively close to home. It’s all that I wanted in a university.”
ON COACH REDFERN: “Coach Jill has been really successful at Lehigh and I wanted to join a program like her’s that is so committed to winning. Coach Jill and her staff really took the time to get to know me as a player and it convinced me that Lehigh was the right program for me.”
AS A FRESHMAN (2012): Stellar freshman campaign, starting all 16 games to help anchor the defense … Finished with 13 groundballs, 13 draw controls and four caused turnovers … Had at least one groundball in each of the final seven games … Posted two groundballs and two draw controls against New Hampshire (4/7) … Three groundballs and a caused turnover at Villanova (3/27) … Finished with two groundballs and three draw controls a game prior vs. archrival Lafayette (3/24) … Posted two draw controls against Robert Morris (3/3) … Scooped two groundballs in collegiate debut vs. Marist (2/18) … Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE LEHIGH: A multi-sport athlete at Ridge High School, Scott played varsity lacrosse, soccer and basketball … Scored more than 100 career goals … Was senior captain in lacrosse, garnering First Team All-Conference, Delaware Conference First Team and All-Skyland Team … Was also an Academic All-American … This came one season after garnering both First Team All-Skyland Conference and Defensive Player of the Year honors … Earned the Captain’s Lacrosse Award for Most Improved Player in 2008 … Helped lead squad to the Skyland Conference Championship the following season … Was an All-State soccer player as well, earning MVP and First Team All-Skyland Conference in 2010 … Team enjoyed tremendous success in her time, becoming Group IV State Finalists in 2008 and County Champions in ’09 … Also strong in basketball … Earned three separate Athlete of the Month Awards … Garnered the Defensive Award for Basketball during the 2007-08 season … Member of the Student Government (Vice President of the Student Body) from 2007-11 … Was also a member of the National Honor Society.
