WHY LEHIGH: "Lehigh was the school that gave me my shot to continue my dream of playing a Division I sport while going to school under a prestigious name. Lehigh helped me jump through the hoops other schools wouldn’t and for that I’m glad to be here."

2015 (SENIOR SEASON)
Made 17 appearances, including 11 starts…led the team with 54 strikeouts and four complete games…earned a spot on the All-Patriot League Tournament team after going 1-0 with 11 strikeouts, no walks and a 1.88 ERA in 14.1 innings of postseason play…earned the win in game three of the PL semifinal series against Holy Cross after hurling a complete nine inning game, allowing just one run on three hits and seven strikeouts…led the team in league play with three wins (Bucknell, Holy Cross and Navy) and 28 strikeouts…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2014 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Started ten games and made 11 appearances…struck out a career-high 37 batters throughout the season in 46.0 innings of action…got the start in Lehigh’s 5-4 win over Army in March and threw a strong 7.1 innings while only giving up two earned runs…earned non-league wins over Coppin State and Fairleigh Dickinson.
2013 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Made 15 appearances…struck out five batters in 4.1 innings against Iona…put up two scoreless innings against Coppin State before throwing another scoreless frame at UNC-Greensboro to earn saves in consecutive appearances…tossed two shutout innings in a home contest versus Temple…led the Lehigh bullpen with three saves.
2012 (FRESHMANÂ SEASON)
Made 10 appearances on the season, nine starts…allowed two earned runs on five hits and struck out seven over 5.1 innings of work against Fairleigh Dickinson…allowed two runs on four hits and struck out three over 6.1 innings against Iona…tossed a season-high 8.0 innings against Lafayette, allowing two runs on eight hits and racked up five strikeouts to earn his first win...allowed one hit in 1.1 innings in his only relief appearance of the season…in his last two appearances of the season, he did not walk a batter over 3.1 innings.
BEFORE LEHIGH
Stephens impressed, on and off the field, at Air Academy High School, earning a varsity letter his sophomore through senior years while garnering a plethora of academic awards. Air Academy was the 5A Colorado State runner-up in 2008 and competed in the state playoffs from 2009-11. His career was capped off when he posted a career-best 2.75 ERA as a senior. That earned him first team All-Conference Pitcher of the Year honors. Stephens was awarded the Outstanding All-Tournament Player in 2011 at the Coach Bob invitational and was an Elite 8 varsity participant at the 2011 state playoffs. Stephens was selected to play in All-State regional and super regional games, along with the top 20 players Futures Game. He also received the honor of "Mr. Kadet" for Air Academy in 2011. A senior captain, Stephens posted a weighted GPA over 4.0 and unweighted GPA approaching 4.0. He was a member of the National Honor Society and Principal’s Honor Roll while garnering the Colorado High School Association All-State Academic Award and first team Academic All-State honors his final three seasons.

If I Had $1 Billion, I Would: Invest, write a book and speak for social change, give to charities, research and to my church, (pay off student loans) give family and relatives money, travel.
