BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh defeated Holy Cross 73-61 Saturday afternoon at Stabler Arena while celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

With the win, Lehigh improved to 12-10 overall and 8-4 in Patriot League play. The Mountain Hawks defeated Holy Cross for the second time this season. The Crusaders fell to 14-9 overall and 8-4 in league play.

Belle Bramer scored a career-high 21 points, making seven of 11 shots from the field and three of five from three-point range, helping the Mountain Hawks to an efficient 44% shooting night. Whitney Lind extended her streak to seven straight games in double figures with 17 points, while Gracyn Lovette added 13 points, hitting three three-pointers in the first half. Lily Fandre also contributed 12 points, giving Lehigh four players in double figures.

The Mountain Hawks controlled the game from start to finish. Lehigh opened the contest shooting 50% from the field in the first quarter, building an 18-12 lead after one period. Whitney Lind led the way in the quarter with seven points.

Lehigh opened the second quarter on a 12-0 run, all coming from three-point shooting. The Mountain Hawks finished the game with 10 three-pointers as a team. Belle Bramer hit two during the run, Gracyn Lovette added one, and Myrto Lianoudi contributed another.

The third quarter was the highest-scoring period of the game, with the teams trading baskets. Meg Cahalan hit a three and made a few free throws to keep Holy Cross within range. She led the Crusaders with 18 points.

Lily Fandre sparked the Mountain Hawks in the third, scoring seven of her 12 points in the period, hitting a three and converting an and-one layup while going on a 5-0 run by herself. Belle Bramer added five points, and Lind scored four in the third quarter.

The Mountain Hawks were able to Holy off Holy Cross in the final 10 minutes to win 73-61.
