Lehigh WBB Plans to Travel to Greece This Summer

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team is set to travel to Greece this summer. The Mountain Hawks will visit Athens and Glyfada as part of the international trip.
The trip will feature two international games, giving the Mountain Hawks an opportunity to compete against overseas competition. Off the court, the team will take part in a cooking class and sightseeing excursions, including visits to the Acropolis, the Kallimarmaro Olympic Stadium and the Giannis Antetokounmpo Court.
"Basketball is the catalyst, but growth is the goal," head coach Addie Micir said. "Taking our program to Greece allows us to test our skills against international competition and come together as a basketball family while immersing our team in a culture so very different from our own."
"This trip is an invaluable chance to build team chemistry away from the daily routine of campus, providing a transformational experience where our students will become better athletes as well as more well-rounded individuals. We cannot wait for the experience."
This transformative experience—made possible by the extraordinary generosity of alumna and former student-athlete Susan Sachs '77—will allow the team to compete internationally, immerse themselves in a new culture, and grow as leaders. Susan's endowed fund supports this tour and future international travel; as it continues to vest, community support remains essential to fully fund the journey.
