BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh is set to travel to Virginia to take on No. 6 Richmond. The game will begin at noon and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
After dropping its opening game, the Mountain Hawks have won their last two, defeating Iona and No. 18 Michigan.Â
The win over No. 18 Michigan was Lehigh's first over a ranked team this season. Last year, Lehigh went 1-2 against ranked opponents. In the victory, Lehigh's offensive attack was balanced, as Colin French, Luke Winkler and Finn Morgan each scored three goals. Seven Mountain Hawks recorded assists, with Winkler leading the team with two.
First-year Finn Morgan earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, the league announced Monday afternoon. Through three games, Morgan leads the Patriot League in goals per game, averaging 4.33.
Sophomore Luke Breslin, who dished out four assists in the 16-7 win over Iona on Feb. 10, leads the Patriot League in assists, averaging four per game.Â
Senior Richard Checo, who caused four turnovers in the win over No. 18 Michigan, leads the league in caused turnovers per game at 4.33 and is one caused turnover shy of breaking the Division I record for caused turnovers.
No. 6 Richmond enters at 3-0 and is coming off an 18-12 win over No. 13 Virginia last Saturday and a 15-5 victory over Mercer on Monday. In 2025, the Spiders defeated the Mountain Hawks, 9-8, in the programs' first-ever meeting.
