Lehigh Falls to Lafayette in Easton

EASTON, Pa- Saturday afternoon, Lafayette defeated Lehigh 73-69. With the loss, the Mountain Hawks slide to 9-5 in Patriot League play and 13-11 overall. The Leopards improve to 9-16 overall and 5-9 in league play.
Lily Fandre led the way for Lehigh, scoring a game high 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field. Today's game marked the ninth time this season Fandre has gone over the 20 point mark.
Talia Zurinskas scored 19 for Lafayette shooting 60% from the field while knocking down 2-of-3 three pointers. Teresa Kiewiet also scored more than 15 for Lafayette, she finished with 17.
The Mountain Hawks got off to a strong start, outscoring Lafayette 15-9 in the first period. Belle Bramer started off the game on a quick 4-0 run. Four points from both Fandre and Katie Hurt helped Lehigh build a six point advantage after one quarter of play.
A 10-0 run from the Leopards to start the period helped propel Lafayette to a six point advantage about midway through the second quarter. Gracyn Lovette knocked down a three to keep the Mountain Hawks within six at the break.
Lafayette continued to keep the pressure on in the second half, gradually growing their lead until the final stages where they were able to close out a 73-59 win.
