BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a successful return to Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall, No. 20 Lehigh will face a pair of longtime rivals this weekend. The Mountain Hawks will host Navy Saturday at 2 p.m. in the 106th meeting of Lehigh's second most-contested dual series, and then will travel to Princeton Sunday at 2 p.m. for meeting 66 in that series.

Lehigh opened 2026 with home dual victories over then-No. 20 Cornell and American last weekend at home. The Cornell dual came down to the final bout with graduate student Sheldon Seymour securing the 20-17 victory with a decision at 125. Lehigh then won eight of 10 bouts in a 32-7 victory over American. The weekend was highlighted by the return of three wrestlers who combined to go 6-0 last weekend. Sophomores Ryan Crookham and Luke Stanich made their season debuts, going 2-0 at 133 and 141, respectively. Graduate student JT Davis returned to the lineup at 197 after missing nearly two months and won both his matches, including a technical fall against American.

Saturday's dual versus Navy will feature Lehigh's Legacy of Champions celebration, with members of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame with ties to Lehigh recognized during the match.

The Mountain Hawks won eight of the 10 bouts, including five bonus point wins, to cap a 2-0 weekend. Just like the previous day's win over No. 20 Cornell, Sunday's match began at 133 with sophomore Ryan Crookham defeating Maximillian Leete 5-1 for his second ranked win of the weekend. Crookham scored a first period takedown plus a second period escape and riding time. Sophomore Luke Stanich followed with a 20-3 technical fall over Jack Maida at 141. After wins from American at 149 and 157, Lehigh claimed the final six bouts, highlighted by technical fall victories by senior Max Brignola (165) and graduate student JT Davis (197) and major decisions by first-year Bekhruz Sadriddinov (174) and graduate student Sheldon Seymour (125). Sadriddinov's 9-1 major over Hunter Hohman was his first career dual meet victory.

Lehigh's 2-0 weekend against Cornell and American was highlighted by the return of three wrestlers from lengthy layoffs. Sophomores Ryan Crookham (133) and Luke Stanich (141) made their season debuts, while graduate student JT Davis returned from injury after a nearly two-month layoff. The trio combined to go 6-0 on the weekend. Crookham led off with ranked wins in both duals, while Stanich and Davis both recorded technical falls against American. Stanich also picked up a top 10 win over Cornell's Vince Cornella. Crookham and Stanich re-entered the national rankings in the top five.

Eight Lehigh wrestlers appear in the latest rankings from InterMat and Wrestle State, while seven appear in the FloWrestling rankings and six are ranked by Amateur Wrestling News and The Open Mat. Sophomores Ryan Crookham (133) and Luke Stanich (141) returned to the polls after making their season debuts last weekend. Along with graduate student Sheldon Seymour at 125, Lehigh has top five-ranked grapplers at each of the first three weights. Six Mountain Hawks appear in all five polls, with sophomore Logan Rozynski (157), senior Max Brignola (165) and senior Nathan Taylor (285) joining Seymour, Crookham and Stanich.

Navy brings a 2-3 dual record into Saturday's match. The Midshipmen will be wrestling their first dual since defeating Morgan State 48-3 in the EIWA opener on Dec. 20. Navy was last in action with wrestlers at the Southern Scuffle and the Soldier Salute Jan. 3-4. Danny Wask is coming off a title at 174 at the Soldier Salute, highlighting nine Navy place winners across the two tournaments. Wask is the highest ranked of the seven ranked Navy wrestlers, coming in at No. 9 at 174. Heavyweight Spencer Lanosga is ranked in the top 15. Cary Kolat is in his sixth season as Navy's head coach.

Navy is Lehigh's second most often-wrestled rival trailing only Penn State with Saturday's dual the 106th in the series. Lehigh has won 12 of the last 14 duals with Navy's victory last January snapping a three-match winning streak for Lehigh in the series. Navy was Lehigh's second-ever opponent in Lehigh's inaugural 1910 season. Lehigh now leads the all-time series 56-49.  Pat Santoro is 14-3 versus the Midshipmen.

Princeton owns a 2-4 dual record with the Tigers last competing in dual action at the Journeymen Armbar in Albany, N.Y. The Tigers defeated Hofstra 36-6 and lost 28-6 to Lock Haven. Last weekend, Princeton competed at the David H. Lehman F&M Open, with five Tigers earning top six places. Holden Garcia was the runner-up at 174 to lead the way. Four Tigers are nationally ranked by InterMat, led by Eligh Rivera, who is 11th at 149. Longtime Princeton assistant Joe Dubuque is in his third season as the Tigers' head coach.

Princeton is Lehigh's seventh most-wrestled rival as Sunday's dual will be the 66th in a series that dates back to 1911. Lehigh has won the last two duals in the series, stopping a three-dual Princeton win streak in the series after the Mountain Hawks had won 14 straight from 1969-2017.  The Mountain Hawks are 8-3 against Princeton under Pat Santoro.

Lehigh will be off from competition next weekend and will return to action at EIWA rival Army West Point, Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. After a trip to Morgan State on Feb. 6, the Mountain Hawks return to Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall to face Penn and Bucknell Feb. 13-14.
