
Strong Second Half Powers Lehigh Past Colgate

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After trailing by one at halftime, Lehigh outscored Colgate by 20 in the second half to roll to a 64-45 victory. With the win, the Mountain Hawks improved to 4-0 in Patriot League play and 8-7 overall. Colgate fell to 5-10 on the season and 1-3 in league play.
For the Mountain Hawks, Lily Fandre led the way with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-3 effort from beyond the arc. Gracyn Lovette added a season-high 16 points, with 13 coming in the second half, and dished out five assists.

The Raiders started fast, jumping out to a 13-4 lead in the first quarter, but Lehigh responded by opening the second quarter on an 8-0 run that included layups from Myrto Lianoudi, Belle Bramer and Lily Fandre. Despite the Mountain Hawks' surge, Colgate held a one-point lead at halftime.
The Mountain Hawks came out of the locker room on fire, opening the second half by going 6-for-6 from the field, largely due to Lovette. Lovette scored two layups and knocked down a 3-pointer within the first five minutes of the half to help Lehigh build its lead. She finished with 12 points in the third quarter. Later in the period, baskets from Whitney Lind and Lily Fandre helped the Mountain Hawks maintain their advantage and take a 42-34 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Lehigh extended its lead and rolled to a 64-45 victory. The Mountain Hawks shot 60% from the field and 55% from 3-point range in the second half. Fandre added seven points in the fourth to help secure the win.
