BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Peter E. Bennett '63 head baseball coach Sean Leary announced on Tuesday that pitching coach/recruiting coordinator Pat Knight has been promoted to associate head coach/recruiting coordinator.
"Pat's impact on our program as the recruiting coordinator and his development of our pitchers merits this promotion," said Leary. "Lehigh is very fortunate to have him mentoring our players."
Knight enters his fourth season with the Mountain Hawks in 2026. During his three seasons in Bethlehem, Knight has helped coach ten all-league selections and four different Patriot League Pitcher of the Week selections.
"The moment I stepped foot on this campus, I knew it was a place I wanted to be at for a long time," said Knight. "The people, especially my fellow coaches and our players, make this place special. I feel honored every day to consider myself a part of this program."
The Mountain Hawks qualified for the Patriot League Championship in 2025, finishing as the fourth seed in the league. Lehigh took the eventual champion Holy Cross to a win or go home game three in the semifinal round. In addition, the Mountain Hawks set the record for the most runs scored in a game by a Patriot League team since the league's inception in 1991, putting up 36 against Delaware State on April 1.
