BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh's women's wrestling club program was well represented in a successful weekend at the 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Women's Nationals, April 4-6 in Spokane, Wash. Nine members of the Lehigh women's team competed for the right to represent the U.S. at this summer's U20 World Championships, with three wrestlers with Lehigh ties earning spots on the world team.

First-year Audrey Jimenez, a four-time age group world medalist, won the title at 50 kg with a par of 10-0 victories in the finals session. Jimenez, the runner up at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, was named the Outstanding Wrestler for the U20 tournament. She went 6-0 in the tournament with all six victories coming via 10-0 technical falls. Her longest match at the tournament lasted just 2:22. Jimenez is also expected to be a top contender to make the U.S. Senior World Team later this year.

Another Lehigh first-year, Genevieve An, finished in fifth place at 76 kg in the U20 division, with a win over the U23 runner-up on the way to her All-America finish.

Joining Jimenez as U20 national champions and world team members are Abbi Cooper (53 kg) from California and Aubre Krazer (59 kg) from Easton, Pa. Cooper and Krazer are both members of Lehigh women's wrestling's 2025 recruiting class who will be joining the program in the fall.

Lehigh women's wrestling head coach Brazel Marquez will also be representing the United States internationally this summer. Marquez has been selected to coach the U.S. Senior women at the Grand Prix of Spain event in July in Madrid. This will be Marquez' third time coaching Team USA athletes at either a World Championship, Pan Am Games or Grand Prix event.

The U20 World Championships are set for August 18-24 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
