Lehigh Records Best Finish In Learfield Directors' Cup Since 2012

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh Athletics has finished 101st in the 2025-26 Division I Learfield Directors' Cup standings out of 301 schools. Lehigh's finish is the school's third best-ever finish and highest finish in the standings since 2011-12.
"Our 101st-place finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings reflects the broad and outstanding success we have seen across Lehigh Athletics this past academic year," said Murray H. Goodman Dean of Athletics Jeremy Gibson. "Achieving our highest finish in 14 years is a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff. I am especially proud that we have attained this heightened success while continuing to uphold the academic success that defines the Lehigh experience."
Lehigh's 101st-place finish was third among Patriot League members.
The Mountain Hawks finished with 190.00 total points, including 137.00 from the winter season and 53.00 points from the fall season.
Developed through a partnership between NACDA and USA Today, the Directors' Cup recognizes broad-based excellence across collegiate athletics. Points are awarded based on NCAA Championship finishes, with Division I scores calculated from 19 sports.
Lehigh gained 53.00 points from football after capturing its second consecutive Patriot League championship. The Mountain Hawks finished the season 12-1 and ranked No. 9 in the final AFCA FCS Coaches Poll.
The Mountain Hawks earned 5.00 points from men's basketball. Lehigh claimed its fourth Patriot League championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011-12. The title was the third under the direction of head coach Brett Reed.
Lehigh picked up 73.5 points from women's wrestling in their first-ever Division I season. The Mountain Hawks won the inaugural NCAA Super Region 2 championship, placed sixth at the NCAA Championships, and crowned three All-Americans, including an individual national championship from Audrey Jimenez.
Men's wrestling provided 58.5 points for Lehigh in the Directors' Cup race. The Mountain Hawks secured their second consecutive and 40th overall EIWA title, finished 16th at the NCAA Championships, and crowned one All-American in Luke Stanich.
In addition to the four team championships won, Lehigh also finished as runners-up in Patriot League men's soccer, women's basketball, and men's tennis this past season.
