BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Fourth-seeded Lehigh men's lacrosse will face No. 5 seed ColgateTuesday at 7 p.m. in the Patriot League quarterfinals at the Ulrich Sports Complex. Tickets are available for purchase here.

The Mountain Hawks are appearing in a league-best 15th consecutive Patriot League Tournament.

Lehigh enters the postseason as the reigning Patriot League Tournament champion, having edged Boston University 11-10 in last year's title game. The Mountain Hawks captured the 2024 championship as the No. 2 seed.

Lehigh closed out the regular season with a 12-7 loss to Lafayette on April 25. Offensive struggles plagued the Mountain Hawks, while the Leopards used a pair of 4-0 scoring runs to secure the win in The Rivalry matchup.

Junior attackman Andrew Kelly (2 goals, 1 assist) and first-year attackman Chris Rathwell (3 assists) led Lehigh with three points. Kelly continues to lead the team with 35 points on 24 goals and 11 assists. Rathwell has impressed in his debut season, totaling 14 points on 5 goals and 9 assists.

Defensively, junior long-stick midfielder Richard Checo stood out with five caused turnovers. He was one of four Mountain Hawks named to the All-Patriot League first team on Monday, alongside junior defenseman Luke McAuliffe, senior midfielder Dakota Eierman, and senior faceoff specialist Sean Dow. Dow was also named Faceoff Specialist of the Year.

Colgate wrapped up the regular season with a 14-12 loss to Boston University. Rory Connor led the Raiders with five goals and one assist. Both Rory and Liam Connor pace the team with 66 points on the season.

Lehigh defeated Colgate 12-9 in their regular-season meeting on April 12. Tied 7-7 at halftime, the Mountain Hawks used a 3-0 third-quarter run to pull away. Sophomore attackman Luke Winkler had a career day, tallying six points (5 goals, 1 assist), while McAuliffe recorded a career-high five caused turnovers.

The last time Lehigh and Colgate met in the Patriot League Tournament was in 2021, when the Mountain Hawks earned a 13-9 semifinal victory. Lehigh is 24-39 all-time against Colgate but has won the last three meetings.

If Lehigh advances, the Mountain Hawks will play in the Patriot League Semifinals on Friday at Army, facing either Army or Boston University.
