Albrecht Garners Patriot League Player of the Week Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a monster week, fifth-year senior wing Maddie Albrecht was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon by the league.Â
This is the second time this season and the third time in her career the Billings, Mont., native has garnered Player of the Week honors. Albrecht averaged 26.5 points per game on 74% shooting from the field, plus three assists, three rebounds and three steals per game in a 2-0 week for Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks currently sit at the top of the league standings with a 9-1 record.Â
In the 87-66 win over Navy on Jan. 29, Albrecht exploded for a career-high 31 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from long range. Albrecht followed that up with another impressive showing in Lehigh's 60-47 win over Holy Cross on Feb. 1, netting a game-high of 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting.Â
Albrecht ranks fourth in the league in scoring with 16.1 points per game, first in field goal percentage (53.2%) and fifth in steals per game (1.7).Â
Albrecht and the Mountain Hawks will have a midweek bye before heading to Washington, D.C to face American on Feb. 8 at 2 p.m.Â
