BETHLEHEM, Pa. Lehigh women's basketball team heads north to take on Boston University Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Case Gym. The Mountain Hawks enter the matchup with a 23-4 record (14-1 PL), while the Terriers are 10-16 (4-11 PL). Lehigh will be aiming to extend its winning streak to 13 games.

Lehigh could clinch the Patriot League regular season title as early as Wednesday with a victory and an Army loss to Lafayette. With just three games remaining in the regular season, Lehigh currently holds the top spot in the Patriot League standings, while the Black Knights sit second with a 12-3 league record.

The Mountain Hawks earned their 12th consecutive win on February 22, defeating Lafayette 75-61 and securing the season sweep over the Leopards. Four players finished in double figures, led by senior guard Ella Stemmer, who matched her season-high with 21 points. Fifth-year senior Maddie Albrecht contributed 15 points, junior forward Lily Fandre added 13, and senior guard Colleen McQuillen chipped in 12.

Albrecht was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday for the fourth time this season. She averaged 17.5 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block during the week. The Billings, Mont., native has been putting up impressive numbers, leading the team with 15.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Her 54% field goal percentage not only leads the Patriot League but ranks 35th in the NCAA.

Senior forward Meghan O'Brien is just 10 rebounds shy of reaching 500 career rebounds, which would make her the 29th player in program history to achieve this milestone. O'Brien is averaging 6.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

The Terriers are coming off an 82-72 victory over American on February 22, with Anete Adler leading the way with a career-high 24 points. Alex Giananros is Boston University's leading scorer, averaging 13.8 points per game and the only Terrier to average double digits.

Wednesday's game will be the second meeting of the season between Lehigh and Boston University. In the first matchup, the Mountain Hawks trailed 33-30 at halftime after the Terriers went on a 16-0 run, but Lehigh dominated the second half, outscoring Boston University 50-21 on the way to an 80-54 victory. The Mountain Hawks posted a season-high 31 points in the third quarter, with Stemmer leading the charge with 14 points.

Lehigh holds a 13-12 all-time record against Boston University.

Next up, Lehigh will return home on Saturday to face Army at 2 p.m. The Mountain Hawks will honor their five seniors in a pregame ceremony.
