BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball will make the short trip to Easton, Pa. to face rival Lafayette on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Kirby Sports Center. The Mountain Hawks are looking to extend their winning streak to 12 games. Lehigh is 22-4 (13-1 PL) and the Leopards are 7-18 (4-10 PL).

Lehigh is coming off of a 73-59 win over Bucknell on Feb. 19, to sweep the season series from the Bison. Lehigh took control early, holding an 18-5 lead at the end of the first frame and the Mountain Hawks would hold their lead for the remainder of the game.

Fifth-year senior wing Maddie Albrecht netted a game-high of 20 points. Ella Stemmer (16 points) and Whitney Lind (13 points) joined Albrecht in double figures. The Mountain Hawks shot 27-of-55 (49.1%) from the field and 10-of-24 (41.7%) from beyond the arc. Senior forward Meghan O'Brien was one point away from tallying double figures, scoring nine of her own.

Senior guard Colleen McQuillen had an outstanding game, finishing with eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals.

Albrecht has reached double figures in the last nine games. She leads the way for the Mountain Hawks with a team-high 15.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. The Billings, Mont, native is effective, leading the league in field goal percentage (54.2%).

The Leopards suffered an 83-42 loss to Holy Cross on Feb. 19 in their last game. Holy Cross jumped out to a 23-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and continued to push the pace for the next three quarters. Lafayette shot 16-of-51 (31.4%) from the floor and 4-of-13 (30.8%) from beyond the arc. Talia Zurinkas led the way with a game-high of 13 points.

Abby Antognoli is the lone Leopard averaging double figures, putting up a team-high of 12.6 points per game.

Saturday's game will mark the season's second meeting between the two teams. Lehigh picked up a 73-51 win in the first meeting of the season on Jan. 25. The Mountain Hawks outscored the Leopards 28-8 in the second quarter to propel them to victory. O'Brien netted a team-high of 13 points and all 13 players recorded a point.

Lehigh leads the all-time series 59-49. If the Mountain Hawks win, it would mark their longest win streak since the 2009-10 season when they won 16 games in a row. It would also be the first time Lehigh captured the season series over Lafayette since 2019.

Next up, Lehigh will travel north to take on Boston University on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Boston. Wednesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
