BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's and women's swimming and diving will head to Lewisburg, Pa., for the Patriot League Swim Championships held at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium from Feb. 19-22. The Mountain Hawks are no strangers to competing at Bucknell this season, having competed in their last two meets there.Â
The four-day event will kick off with the women's three-meter diving trials at 1 p.m. The relays will kick off at 5 p.m., starting with the 200-yard medley relay and ending with the 800-yard freestyle relay.Â
Thursday through Saturday, the preliminary sessions will begin at 10 a.m. before the finals start at 6 p.m.Â
Senior Willa Werwaiss and junior Mairin Ludwig were both named to the 2024 All-Patriot League team with Werwaiss landing on the first team and Ludwig garnering second team honors.Â
Werwaiss took home three medals at the 2024 Patriot League Championships, placing second in the 500-yard freestyle, second in the 800-yard free relay and third in the 200-yard freestyle.Â
Ludwig swam alongside Werwaiss on the 800-yard freestyle relay team that came in second while also placing fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
The women come into Patriots with a 6-3 record while the men have improved to 5-5 this season. The men are led by Jack DeVilbiss, who has scored the most points with 715.50. First-year Will Pestrichelli is behind DeVillbiss with 703.80 points. Pestrichelli is one of many Lehigh's strong first-years who are hoping to make an impact in its first Patriot League Championship.Â
