Lehigh To Vist Mount St. Mary's Sunday Afternoon

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Having won two consecutive games for the first time this season, Lehigh travels to Emmitsburg, Md., Sunday to face Mount St. Mary's in the Mountain Hawks' final game before the final exam break. Game time is set for 2 p.m. with broadcast coverage on ESPN+.
The Mountain Hawks are coming off back-to-back home victories over Ivy League opponents in the last week. Lehigh followed last Sunday's 58-54 win over Brown with a 66-52 victory over Cornell Wednesday night. Senior Lily Fandre and first-year Leia Edwards both scored 21 points to lead the Mountain Hawks, who used a strong fourth quarter effort to pull away from the Big Red in the final 10 minutes.
A shorthanded Mountain Hawk squad saw four players log 35 or more minutes, with senior Katie Hurt making her first career start. First-years Alana Reddy and Ellie Mjaanes both added eight points for the Brown and White.
Edwards, a two-time reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week, leads Lehigh averaging 6.4 rebounds per game along with 13.2 points, which ranks second on the team.
Mount St. Mary's is 2-5 on the season. The Mountaineers have lost their last two games, including a 92-44 final at Maryland on Wednesday. The Mount has faced two Patriot League teams this season, with the Mountaineers defeating Loyola on Nov. 20 and falling at Bucknell by four on Nov. 12.
Gabrielle Kennerly is the only Mountaineer averaging in double figure scoring with 12.7 points per game. The Mount is averaging just 55.3 points per contest offensively.
Lehigh and Mount St. Mary's are meeting for the 13th time with the Mountain Hawks leading the series 8-4. The Mountain Hawks have won the last seven meetings, with the most recent on Nov. 19, 2021, a 91-72 Lehigh victory.
Following Sunday's game, Lehigh will break for final exams before visiting Towson on Saturday, Dec. 20 at noon.
