Lehigh Welcomes Cornell to Stabler Arena Wednesday Night

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh closes out its short two-game homestand against Ivy League opponents Wednesday as the Mountain Hawks welcome Cornell to Stabler Arena. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 58-54 win over Brown on Sunday. Four players scored in double figures, led by sophomore Belle Bramer with 14, and junior Jessie Ozzauto (10 pts., 11 rebs.) and first-year Leia Edwards (11 pts., 11 rebs.) both recorded double-doubles as Lehigh outscored Brown 19-10 in the fourth quarter to erase a five-point deficit after three periods.
Edwards won her second straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week award after averaging a double-double (13 pts., 10 rebs.) over Lehigh's two games last week.
Five Mountain Hawks are averaging double figure scoring on the season, with juniors Whitney Lind (13.5) and Jessie Ozzauto (13.2) leading the way. Edwards (12.1), Bramer (11.2) and senior Lily Fandre (10.9) are also averaging in double figures. Edwards has taken over the team lead in rebounding at six per game.
Cornell is 4-4 on the season with the Big Red coming off a 67-54 loss at Wagner on Sunday. The Big Red have faced one Patriot League foe, dropping a 60-54 decision against Colgate on Nov. 18.
Rachel Kaus leads Cornell averaging 11.8 points per game, while Emily Pape is averaging 10.9 points and a team-best 6.1 rebounds.
Lehigh and Cornell are meeting for the 10th time with the Mountain Hawks leading the series 7-2. The Mountain Hawks have won the last four meetings, including a 73-51 last December in Ithaca, N.Y.
Following Wednesday's game, Lehigh travels to Mount St. Mary's on Sunday in its final game before the final exam break.
