Mountain Hawks Use Strong Fourth Quarter to Rally Past Brown 58-54

11/30/2025 4:46:00 PM | Women's Basketball

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh women's basketball trailed Brown by five points entering the fourth quarter at Stabler Arena, but a strong effort on both ends over the final 10 minutes lifted the Mountain Hawks over the Bears 58-54 Sunday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks outscored the Bears 19-10 in the final period to rally for their third victory of the season, while snapping Brown's five-game winning streak.

Sophomore Belle Bramer led four Mountain Hawks in double figures with 14 points, while senior Lily Fandre added 12.

Junior Jessie Ozzauto and first-year Leia Edwards both recorded double-doubles, with Ozzauto pairing a career-high 11 rebounds with 10 points. Edwards also recorded a career-high 11 boards to go along with 10 points.
Lehigh (3-5) finished the game shooting 35 percent from the field and overcame shooting under 30 percent in both the second and third quarters with strong efforts in the first and fourth. The Mountain Hawks also converted 13-of-18 from the free throw line, including 9-of-12 in the fourth quarter.

Bramer and Fandre combined for 13 of Lehigh's 19 points as the Mountain Hawks led 19-17 after one quarter. A turnaround jumper by Bramer gave Lehigh its largest lead of the game at 28-19 with 5:37 left in the first half, before Brown trimmed Lehigh's advantage to 30-25 at halftime.
Brown (5-3) opened the second half on a 13-2 run, taking its largest lead at 38-32 on Olivia Young's 3-pointer with 5:08 left in the third.

Fandre converted 2-of-3 from the free throw line to give Lehigh a 46-45 lead with 7:27 to play, but Grace Arnolie answered with a 3-pointer to put Brown back in front.

Lehigh took the lead again on an Edwards 3-pointer with 5:43 to play and led by four at the four-minute mark after junior Gracyn Lovette connected from deep.
Two Alyssa Moreland layups tied the game at 54-54 with just under two minutes to play.

Bramer was fouled with 43.1 seconds remaining and made both free throws to give Lehigh the lead for good. Ozzauto added two more free throws down the stretch to secure Lehigh's seventh straight win over an Ivy League opponent.

Arnolie led Brown with 12 points, while Moreland added 11. The Bears shot 39 percent from the field for the game and held a 40-34 rebounding advantage.

The Mountain Hawks are back home Wednesday night to host Cornell at 6 p.m.
