11/25/2025 11:39:00 PM | Women's Basketball

SAN FRANCISCO – In the second and final game of its northern California trip, Lehigh women's basketball fell 89-84 to San Francisco Tuesday night at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

Senior Lily Fandre scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Mountain Hawks, who trailed by just four points at halftime, but a 28-20 advantage for the Dons in the third quarter turned things in San Francisco's favor. Lehigh's frantic fourth-quarter comeback attempt fell five points short.

USF (4-2) shot 71 percent from the field in the third quarter, while limiting Lehigh to just 33 percent. The Dons' lead grew as high as 21 in the fourth before Lehigh battled back within single digits late.

Fandre's career-high 27 came on 8-of-19 shooting from the field with one 3-pointer, and a 10-for-11 effort at the free throw line.

First-year Leia Edwards added 15 points and a team-leading nine rebounds, while San Rafael native Gracyn Lovette contributed 13.

Lehigh shot 43 percent from the field while allowing San Francisco to shoot 55 percent.

The first half was tightly-contested with the teams knotted at 18-18 after 10 minutes of play. A Lovette jumper gave the Mountain Hawks their largest lead at 28-20 with 6:35 left in the half, but USF answered with a 13-0 run to retake the lead, with the Dons leading 39-35 at halftime.

The Dons' lead grew to 21 points with 5:49 to play, but Lehigh answered with a 9-0 run capped by a layup by junior Jessie Ozzauto. Down 13 with a minute to play, Lehigh outscored USF 15-7 over the game's final minute.

Candy Edokpaigbe led San Francisco with 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting.

Ozzauto added nine points and a career-high eight assists for Lehigh. Sophomore Belle Bramer also scored nine points, while first-year Alana Reddy chipped in eight.

Rebounds favored San Francisco 39-34. Lehigh forced the Dons into 20 turnovers while committing 16.

The Mountain Hawks (2-5) return to Stabler Arena Sunday to host Brown at 2 p.m.
