
Mountain Hawks Aim to Keep Momentum Going Versus Colgate

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball looks to keep the momentum going as it hosts Colgate on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Stabler Arena. The Mountain Hawks are 11-3 (2-0 PL) and the Raiders are 10-5 (0-2 PL). Wednesday's game will air on ESPN+.
The Mountain Hawks rolled to a 74-66 win over Loyola in the league home opener on Jan. 5. Senior guard Ella Stemmer paced the way with 19 points. Stemmer also recorded a season high-tying five three-pointers against the Greyhounds.Â

Fifth-year wing Maddie Albrecht added 18 points of her own. Albrecht received Patriot League honorable mentions on Monday after leading Lehigh to a 2-0 week while averaging 17.5 points, 5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals.Â
The Mountain Hawks hit 12 three-pointers to help propel them to victory against Loyola. The Mountain Hawks led by as many as 22 points against the Greyhounds, who cut Lehigh's lead to four points with 30 seconds remaining, but the Mountain Hawks ended the game on a 6-2 run.Â
Lehigh enters Wednesday's game on a five-game winning streak. The Mountain Hawks are led by Albrecht, who averages a team-high 14.4 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. Albrecht has scored in double figures in 12 of Lehigh's 14 games. Stemmer is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game. Stemmer is also averaging a Patriot League leading 2.7 three-pointers per game.Â
Junior forward Lily Fandre is the third Mountain Hawk averaging double figures, putting up 10.6 points per game. Fandre needs just two more three-pointers to reach 100 career three-pointers made.Â
The Raiders are coming off of a 51-34 loss to Bucknell. The Raiders struggled offensively, shooting just 26.1% from the field. Anne Bair led the way with a team-high of 12 points.Â
Bair also averages a team-high 12.9 points per game. Taylor Golembiewski is next with 11.5 points per game.Â
Lehigh is 48-30 all-time against Colgate. The Mountain Hawks swept the Raiders last season. Lehigh holds a 28-12 edge at Stabler Arena.
