Mountain Hawks Announce 2028 Class

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Head coach Jill Redfern and the Lehigh women's lacrosse program welcomes 10 newcomers in the class of 2028.
Gracie Shoup / Attack / Lafayette Hill, Pa. / Penn Charter / 5-6

Why Lehigh: "Great community, academics, and athletics."
Shoup heads to Lehigh as a sophomore after spending her freshman year at Ohio State. The Lafayette Hill, Pa. native played club for HHH along with being named a USA Lacrosse All-American and was selected to the All-Interac First Team as a senior at Penn Charter. The multi-sport athlete also played soccer and was a two-time InterAC Champion and state runner-up in basketball.

Cross heads to Bethlehem from Weston, Connecticut, playing club for Prime Time Lacrosse. As a team captain at Weston High School, Cross was named to the All-State First Team (2022, 2023), All-SWC First Team (2022-23), 2021 All SWC Honorable Mention, along with the Wilton High School Lacrosse MVP (2023-2024). Academically, the midfielder was named a 2024 Academic All-American, landed on the SWC All-Conference Academic Team all four years and was a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll.
Chloe DelNegro / Midfield / Tiburon, Calif. / St. Ignatius College Prep / 5-5

Why Lehigh: "I chose to attend Lehigh because of the incredible balance of academics and athletics that are provided. The team immediately felt like family upon visiting and the coaching staff is incredible."
Making the trek across the country from Tiburon, Calif., DelNegro attended St. Ignatius College Prep and played club for STEPS California. The midfielder was named First Team All-League WBAL (2024), Wildcat Award Winner and was a three-time CCS recipient. DelNegro was a three-year varsity starter who led her team in assists in both 2023 and 2024 while accumulating 100 career points.
Jane Hughes / Goalkeeper / Wilton, Conn. / Wilton / 5-4

A goalkeeper from Wilton, Connecticut, Hughes played for the second ranked club team in the country in the CT Grizzlies. The Wilton High School alumni was named First Team All-State and Second Team All-FCIAC, posting a .500 save percentage. Offensively, Hughes has one goal and one assist to her name from the goal. Aside from lacrosse, the goalkeeper was the captain of her cross country team, FCIAC Qualifier, CIAC Qualifier and the Team State Championship Runner-up. Hughes took to the track in the winter as the captain of the indoor track team, FCIAC Qualifier, CIAC Qualifier, Leadership award and was the Wilton Track Association Scholarship Recipient. Academically, she was a member of National Honors Society, and Spanish Honors Society along with earning the Connecticut Seal of Biliteracy, Academic All-State, Scholar Athlete Award and Winter Scholar Athlete.

Hummel played for Moorestown High School along with the club team All-American Aim. The midfielder's resume includes selections to the First Team All-State, First Team All-South Jersey, First Team Olympic Conference, First Team All-Group 3. She was selected to the Best In Class Event, Juniors Open and Team NJ Under Armour Tournament. Academically, Hummel is a two-time recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award. Another dual sport athlete in the class of 2028, Hummel played field hockey where she was selected to Nexus Championship, AAU Junior Olympic Games and was named to the 2022 NFHCA High School National Academic Squad.

A 5-11 midfielder from Atlanta, Georgia, McConnell set high school records for career goals, draw controls, caused turnovers, and ground balls leading to being named Riverwood's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2024. In her junior season, she accumulated over 100 goals and draw controls. McConnell played club for Atlanta Storm and was selected to Participate at the USA National Lacrosse Tournament for Team Georgia. Academically, McConnell was in the Top 5% of her class, named to the Principal honor roll all four years, National Honors Society (2023, 2024), Beta Club (2023-24), Georgia Merit Scholar and was the Student Government Class Treasurer (2022-24). A dual sport athlete, McConnell earned multiple accolades on the basketball court including being named to the First Team All-Region (2023), AJC All metro selection (2023), Second team All-Region (2022).

A native of Chatham, N.J. McGlynn arrives at Lehigh by way of Chatham High School, plating club for STEPS Elite. On the field, the captain led her team in assists, landing on the Second Team All League Stars & Stripes Division and Second Team All Morris County. Academically, McGlynn was selected to the All-Academic Team Stars & Stripes Division, High Honor Roll, National Honors Society, and World Language National Honor Society. Another multi-sport athlete, McGlynn was a two-year varsity soccer letter winner.
Anna Rivetti / Midfield / Morristown, N.J. / Morristown / 5-7

A midfielder from Morristown, N.J., Rivetti attended Morristown and played club lacrosse for Dewlax. At Morristown, she was a two-time First Team All-League and First Team All Morris County honoree. A captain and four-year varsity athlete, she led her team in draw controls with 299. In the classroom, she landed in the top 10% of her class, along with being involved in the National Honor Society, Italian Honor Society, Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta), Peer Group Counselor and MHS STEM Academy. Rivetti was named Academic All League (NJSIAA Stars & Stripes South) in both 2023 and 2024. Another multi-sport athlete, Rivetti was varsity starter in basketball, two-year captain, 2024 First Team All-League honoree, 2023 Honorable Mention All-League along with winning the state sectional championship and leading the team to state championship in 2024. In tennis, she was a varsity starter and Honorable Mention All-League.

Schulties comes to Lehigh by way of The Benjamin School, playing club for Florida Select. The newcomer was named a two-time All American, First Team All-State. The Jupiter, Fla. native attended the Juniors Open, Under Armour All-America and was an all-star at American Select along with an Elite 12 All-Star. A dual sport athlete, Schulties was selected as the MVP in soccer.

A native of Scarsdale, N.Y., Silverman attended Scarsdale High School and played club for Predators Lacrosse Westchester. She was tabbed All-Section, All-League, All-NEPSAC, and All-FAA. Silverman also played field hockey at Scarsdale.
