Mountain Hawks To Host A Pair Of Doubleheaders Vs. Navy And Bucknell

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A pair of Patriot League doubleheaders awaits Lehigh baseball at J. David Walker Field this weekend. The Mountain Hawks will play host to the Navy Midshipmen for two games on Saturday while the Bucknell Bison will travel to Bethlehem for two on Sunday.
Lehigh (16-10-1, 3-4 PL) went 2-2 across four contests last week, defeating Delaware State 14-3 in the Liberty Bell Classic opening round while going 1-2 against Army West Point in the team's first home Patriot League series. The Mountain Hawks took game one of the series thanks to Rafe Perich's sac-fly in extra innings, but the Black Knights prevailed 5-0 and 6-4 in the final two games to claim the series win. Perich, who is enjoying a career season in the brown and white, was recently listed as one of the top 50 third basemen in the country by D1Baseball.com.
Navy (17-11, 8-3 PL) enters the weekend having already played 11 league games and currently is riding a five-game winning streak. The Midshipmen swept Holy Cross in a doubleheader last Monday and followed that up with a three-game sweep of Lafayette over the weekend. Navy currently leads the Patriot League in both batting average (.286) and fielding percentage (.981).
Bucknell (10-17, 3-8 PL) last competed in a three-game series against Holy Cross, dropping each game of the series to the Crusaders. The Bison will make a stop in Easton on Saturday for a doubleheader against Lafayette before taking on the Mountain Hawks on Sunday. Bucknell owns the second-highest team batting average in the league (.282) while junior Sean Keys leads both his team and the Patriot League with a batting average of .427.
