BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh baseball returns to Patriot League play this weekend at home for a three-game series against the Holy Cross Crusaders. The Mountain Hawks will face the Crusaders at J. David Walker Field on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Lehigh (20-19-1, 6-12 PL) welcomed Cairn University to Bethlehem on Wednesday for a midweek game, defeating the Highlanders by a score of 12-2. Prior to Wednesday's game, the Mountain Hawks faced off against Navy in Annapolis over the weekend, falling in each game of a three-game series. Lehigh is currently on the outside looking in of the Patriot League tournament, making every league game that much more pivotal.
Holy Cross (19-23, 9-9 PL) most recently faced Dartmouth in a midweek game on Tuesday, winning by a narrow 6-5 margin. The Crusaders traveled to Lafayette for a three-game series this past weekend, dropping both games of a doubleheader on Saturday while winning 12-9 on Sunday.
Following this weekend's games, the two teams will meet again in Massachusetts next Sunday, May 5 for a doubleheader to close out the regular season schedule.
Saturday's game will also be Senior Day, and Lehigh's eight graduating players (Lucas Rich, Teddy Tolliver, Najir Glenn, Drew Morse, Tyler Young, Tyler Thompson, Andrew Nole, Riley Davis) will all be honored prior to the start of the game.
Game one of this series will be played at 3 p.m. on Friday while Saturday and Sunday's games will both begin at 1 p.m. Like Lehigh Baseball on Facebook, follow on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram for exclusive content, team updates and more.
