Mountain Hawks Downed 4-0 to Army West Point

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Lehigh women's tennis suffered a 4-0 loss to Army West Point in the penultimate regular season match. The Mountain Hawks dropped to 13-6 (4-3 PL) and the Black Knights improved to 17-8 (5-1 PL).
Army started out the afternoon winning 2-of-3 doubles matches to secure the first point of the day. Anushka and Megha Dania picked up the lone doubles win for Lehigh, defeating Jenna Sabile and Julia Kelly on court No. 2.
In singles play, Army claimed wins at No. 1, No. 3 and then No. 5 to secure the 4-0 victory.
Megha Dania and Giselle Vlassis were the only Mountain Hawks to win a set on Friday. Megha won the first set 6-2 at the No. 4 singles spot over Emma Sy and was losing 3-1 in the next set before the Black Knights clinched the win. Vlassis won the first set 7-5 at the No. 6 singles spot and was losing 4-1 to Paige Herremans in the next set before Army defeated Lehigh.
Lehigh will close out the regular season on Saturday against Boston University in West Point, N.Y. at 12 p.m.
