BALTIMORE - Lehigh women's tennis dropped a 4-3 decision to Loyola in a match that lasted more than five hours. The Mountain Hawks dropped to 11-5 (2-2 PL), and the Greyhounds improved to 8-4 (2-2 PL). After dropping the doubles point, Lehigh won the next three singles points, but the Greyhounds scored the final three points of the day to secure the win.

The Mountain Hawks were swept in doubles as Maggie Forkner and Allyce Gaborik lost 6-3, Anushka Dania and Megha Dania lost 7-5, and Audrey Harrington and Hamsa Javgal lost 6-3.

Despite losing the doubles point, Javagal got Lehigh started off strong in singles as she bested Olivia Tracey 6-4, 7-5. Gaborik followed Javagal's performance with a win as she defeated Lauren Manwiller 7-5, 6-1. Forkner gave Lehigh a 3-1 lead after pulling off a 7-5 6-1 victory over Christine Richiez, but the Mountain Hawks would lose the next three points.

The Mountain Hawks will host Lafayette on Thursday at 4 p.m. in The Rivalry, presented by the Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute.
