Mountain Hawks Head To Queens University Of Charlotte For Weekend Series

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh baseball gears up for another weekend series on the road, this time against Queens University of Charlotte. The Mountain Hawks and Royals will play a three-game series, starting with a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday to conclude the series.
This weekend's series will mark the first-ever meeting between Lehigh (4-3) and Queens (3-6), who recently transitioned from Division-II to Division-I in 2022.
Cole Leaman will take the mound for the Mountain Hawks in game one. He has posted a 4.50 ERA in two starts for Lehigh on the season. Jack Hamilton will get his first start of the season in game two while senior Teddy Tolliver will be on the mound for game three. RHP Landry Jurecka will start the first game for Queens on Saturday, RHP Derek Westfall will take game two while LHP Joey Ruller will start game three.
After going 1-2 last weekend against Charleston Southern, Lehigh traveled to the University of Delaware for a midweek clash with the Blue Hens on Tuesday. The Mountain Hawks came away with a 10-9 victory, recording 11 hits on the day. Shane O'Neill earned the win for Lehigh while Najir Glenn impressed through 3.1 innings as the starter. Jake Whitlinger hit 4-5 from the one spot while first-year Braydon Hubbard batted 3-5 in his second career start.
Queens most recently faced off against #14 NC State for a midweek test on Wednesday, falling 17-2 to the Wolfpack. The Royals defeated Winthrop 13-12 the day before in a high-scoring affair. Junior Nick Alderfer leads the team with a .375 batting average thus far this season while junior Dillon Lewis joins him above .300 with a mark of .343.
Game one will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday followed by game two at 4 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday for game three at 12 p.m.
