Cole Named Offensive Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's lacrosse senior attackman Scott Cole was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon by the league.

Cole had an incredible game for Lehigh against No.5/8 Cornell on Feb. 17, scoring a game-high of seven points after notching six goals and one assist. In addition to putting up a career-tying seven points, he also scored his 100th career goal on his sixth and final goal of the day.

This is Cole's first weekly honor of the season and the third time in his career being named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.Cole needs just four more goals to tie Reid Weber '16 for the 10th-most goals scored in program history (104).

Sophomore defender Richard Checo earned a Patriot League honorable mention for the second straight week after causing three turnovers and picking up four ground balls against Cornell. Checo's has caused six turnovers and recorded eight ground balls in Lehigh's three games this season.

Lehigh returns to action on Feb. 26 against Dartmouth at 7 p.m. in a neutral site game held at Trinity College.
