BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's track and field kicked off the indoor season on Friday and Saturday in their own backyard at Fast Times Before Finals at Rauch Fieldhouse.

"It was a good opener for our squad," said associate head coach Brooke Astor. "Our men competed well throughout the events. It was really great to see some of our veteran leaders open up with strong marks, including Gideon Coprivnicar in the heptathlon and Liam Lovering in the weight."

"Of course, it is always nice to see our first-years in their Lehigh uniforms for the first time," said Astor. "First-year Quinten Slaughter had a great season opener so we are excited to see him and his classmates continue to progress."

Lehigh's top finisher in Saturday's long jump was first-year Jack Maister, who reached 6.88m with his jump to take second. Junior Daniel Givens also finished in the top five, taking fourth with a 6.34m jump.
